About Tarot Birth Cards

Tarot Birth Cards is a free, simple site for finding your tarot birth cards and year cards.

We built it because different calculators often give different answers, and few explain why. Here you can see every step of the arithmetic and the result from both common methods: the original one published by Mary K. Greer and the one used by The Tarot School. The calculations run entirely in your browser.

The card descriptions on this site are written for reflection and entertainment. Birth cards are a way of thinking about recurring themes in your life; they are not predictions, and nothing here is professional, medical, legal or financial advice.

• Mary K. Greer, Tarot for Your Self (1984) and Who Are You in the Tarot? (2011), for the original birth and year card method.
• The Tarot School's published birth card calculator, for the alternative method.

Card numbering follows the Rider–Waite–Smith tradition (Strength 8, Justice 11). The astrological and elemental symbol on each card follows the Hermetic Order of the Golden Dawn's attributions, for example Aries for The Emperor and Scorpio for Death. The card designs on this site are our own.
